Sherry P. BroderMs Broder, Sam L. Cohen’s niece, was the first woman president of the Hawaii State Bar Association and has represented the Office of Hawaiian Affairs before the U. S. Supreme Court. As class counsel for torture victims under the Marcos regime in the Philippines, she and her team won one of the largest personal injury verdicts in U. S. history. She is a current as well as a founding member of Hawaii Women Lawyers, Hawaii Trial Lawyers, and The Hawaii Women Lawyers Foundation. She is also a board member of the Ved Nanda Center for International Law, and a hearings officer with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Ms Broder has taught International Human Rights at the University of Hawaii as well as lectured in Denver, Australia, Italy, Japan, and Korea. She lives in Honolulu, Hawaii. |
