K.E. Smith

Previous to joining the Sam L. Cohen Foundation in 2006 as program associate, Ms Smith served as executive director of the Oxford (Ohio) Community Foundation. Ms Smith’s professional life has included positions as college instructor (English and German in the US and Germany), contract negotiator for the New Jersey Education Association, liaison between Temple University and the US Army VII Corps in Germany, and freelance writer (published). Currently she serves on the governing board of the State Street Church, the Hidden Gardens of Munjoy Hill tour committee, is a member of the Knitting Guild, and sings with the Choral Art Society. She and her husband Michael Bachem live in Portland.
